A Case of Colon Obstruction by Colonic Bezoar
Choi Kyoung-Suk

Seo Geom-Seog
Abstract
Bezoars can be classified into phytobezoar, trichobezoar, and lactobezoar according to nature of composite materials. Most of bezoars are located in the stomach, with the small intestine being the second common site. In contrast it is uncommon to observe bezoar in the colon. Recently we experienced one clinical case wherein an old woman suffered from obstruction of the colon caused by colonic beaoar. We successfully performed application of endoscopic polypectomy snare and lithotripsy basket into removal of bezoar from the colon in this patient without any clinical complications.
